Marriott Hotel's Chocolate Cake
I guess Marriott Hotel is more famous for their cheese cakes than their chocolate cakes. Their cheese cakes are simply heavenly. And I'm not really a cheese cake fan in the first place. It was the first time that I ate a cheese cake that will melt in your mouth. Seriously, I have no idea how to describe the goodness. You'll have to try it yourself! Even today at the counter, the lady was gesturing towards the cheese cake and said something like, "I really really like this cheese cake the best!" And she was smiling in a way full of adoration like how one might marvel over something extremely incredible.
WELL. I know there IS still The Patissier's cheese cakes to try before I can truly say that Marriott Hotel's cheese cake is directly from heaven. And if anyone wanna buy me a cake from The Patissier, please feel free to do so. I will thank you from the bottom of my heart. =)
Back to the Marriott Hotel's chocolate cake (sorry I don't know the exact name)...
If you see the darker layer at the bottom, that is caused by the alcohol in the cake. It looks small, but its 1 kg. So you know what that means? The cake is heavy and rich! Filled with.... A woman's best friend (other than diamonds, by which, a diamond by any carat will still smell as sweet).
The cake is really smooth, and the chocolate is not too thick till you feel like puking. And the best part? It's not too sweet and with a slight hint of bitterness because of the dark chocolate! That is really a plus point. There's like only 1/7 of the cake that has sponge. The rest is simply chocolate. It wasn't those mousse kind too. However, the alcohol wasn't very strong. In fact it was mild. But hey, no complaints or whatsoever.
You can be like me, and pour yourself a glass of wine after enjoying the slice of the cake instead.
Cheers!
